Abel G. Benegas Sr. Age 96, Went to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday October 22, 2013 at his home with his loving family at his side. Surviving three sons Abel (Theresa) Benegas Jr. of Joliet, IL, Barnabe Benegas of Joliet, IL and Levi (Donna) Benegas of Plainfield, IL; two daughters Donna Stewart of New Lenox, IL and Juanita (John) Murphy of Nason, IL; one brother Nabor (Cooka) Benegas of Joliet, IL; 24 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth Benegas; one daughter Betty Cortez and his parents Salome and Josephine Benegas; six sisters and two brothers; one great granddaughter and two grandsons. Abel Benegas retired from Plainfield Tool and Die on December 31, 1984. Funeral Services for Abel Benegas will be held on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home with Rev. Lou Wold officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m.
