Agnes L. Scott

Agnes L. Scott (nee Tomlianovich) entered our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom peacefully on October 5, 2022. Survived by her loving daughters, Theresa Zak, Cecilia Scott-Stanfel and Mary Frances (Stephen) Matichak; granddaughters, Nicole (Anthony) Marzano, Gina (Liz) Brooks-Zak, Elizabeth Stanfel and Alexandra Scott; great-grand-children, Nora Marzano, Atticus and Florence Brooks-Zak; brothers, Phillip Tomlianovich and Deacon Louis (Pamela); nephews, Matthew (Jennifer) and Phillip Tomlianovich; nieces, Susan (Charles) Meismer, Lori (Jim) Henehan and Tami Tomlianovich, and her grand-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by devoted husband of 68 years, Kenneth Scott; her parents, Peter and Georgina (nee Stemas) Tomlianovich; son, Thomas Scott; son-in-laws, Joseph Zak and David Stanfel; sisters, Mary (Ray deceased) Stanko and Frances Tomlianovich; four brothers, Edward, John, Peter Jr. and William Tomlianovich, and nephew, David Tomlianovich.

Agnes lived in service of her family, community, and Jesus Christ. In her endearing way, she inspired joy and shared a glimpse of Jesus’ Light through faithful prayers, her twinkling smile and humor, and her consistently positive personality. Agnes cherished spending time with family, capturing photo memories, cooking for celebrations, enjoying nature’s beauty, and dancing with her husband. She worked as a bookkeeper, manager of currency exchanges, and in childcare in retirement years. Agnes was a devout Catholic found daily at St. Jude’s, St. Patrick’s or St. Raymond’s.

Services for Agnes Scott will be held Saturday October 8, 2022 with visitation 9:30-11 am at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag in Joliet, funeral mass at 11:30 am at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, followed by inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. In-lieu of flowers, Agnes requested donations to your favorite charity.
