Arthur E. Lindberg Age 84 passed away Monday April 4 2011 at his home with his family by his side.Survived by his wife Esther (Rapp) Lindberg daughter Laura (Jeff) Mitrisin two sons Arne (Joyce) Lindberg and Mark (Amanda) Lindberg grandchildren Nicholas and Jacob Lindberg. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.Preceded in death by his parents Einar and Trina Lindberg two sisters Rosemary Lindberg and Kathryn (William) Brown.Born in Joliet a long time resident of Plainfield Township. Graduated from A.O Marshall Grade School and Joliet Township High School. W.W. II Navy Veteran serving on the USS Pennsylvania. Retired from Argonne National Lab. Member of St. Mary Immaculate Church in Plainfield Plainfield Lions Club American Legion Band and the Plainfield Cemetery Board. Arthur was an avid Golfer.Funeral Services from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home Saturday April 9 2011 at 11:15 a.m. to St. Mary Immaculate Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment Plainfield Cemetery.Visitation Friday 3-8 p.m.
