Carole L. Remko

Age 88, passed away Wednesday March 19, 2025 in Harlingen, TX, of Joliet.

Survived by her loving husband of 68 years J. Richard Remko; son Steven (Fiona) Remko and daughter Lynne Clevenger; granddaughters Stephanie Schmidt, Ashly Spada and Brittany Saenz; great granddaughters Chelsea Saenz and Athena Schmidt.

Born in Wausau, WI, living in Joliet and Harlingen, TX. Carole graduated from Wausau High School, Class of 1954 and St. Vincent School of Pediatric Nursing in Chicago. She was an active member of Childerguild at Silver Cross Hospital since 1988. Carole loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed golfing and bowling.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 16, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials in Carole’s name to Childerguild or Guardian Angel Community Services would be appreciated
