Cathy L. Stout

Cathy L. Stout (nee, Howorth) of Joliet, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday November 2, 2023 at the age of 67, after a long battle with dementia. Loving wife for 49 years of Donald J. Stout. Devoted mother of Jason (Jennifer) Stout, Gina (Trevor) Markee and Jessica (Brian) Toepke. Cherished MaMaw of Connor & Brady Stout, Austin & Logan Markee and Kinley & Mason Toepke. Sister of David Howorth, Gayle (Greg) Kaufmann and Daniel (Cindy) Howorth. Sister in law of Daniel (Ellen) Stout and David (Denise) Stout. Aunt to many.

Preceded in death by parents William & Georgia (nee Hickernell) Howorth, mother in law Frances Stout, father in law Francis Stout and brother James Howorth.

Cathy loved sewing, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved rooting them on at all of their sporting events. She was very loved and will be missed by so many.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Family Home Health Hospice Services, 2171 W Executive Dr. Addison, IL 60101 would be deeply appreciated. A special thank you to her nurse Shannon who took excellent care of her.

Visitation, Sunday November 12, 2023, 2:00-5:00pm followed by a short service at 5:00pm at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Cremation rites to follow with a private burial at a later date. Arrangements by Eryn Gray, Funeral Director.
