Charles Burnell Curtis

Born November 8, 1951 in McComb, MS.  Charles was born to Arnell and Carleane Curtis.  He was the first born of four children.   Charles and his parents moved to Chicago at the age of six months.  He attended school and graduated from Kenwood High School.   

Charles served in the United States Navy for three years.   He worked for the VA Great Lakes Health System Facility Management Service.   Charles met and married Michelle, two daughters were born, Charlette Curtis and Cynthia Curtis.   Charles later married Sandra.

Charles loved being in Church.  In his young age, he attended South Shore First Baptist Church.  In 1986 he was baptized in Jesus Name under the leadership of Bishop Robert A. Baggett.  He joined Dr. Bill Wiston Church, The Living Word.

Charles was preceded in death by his father Arnell Curtis; his sister Jeanette Curtis; his brother Paul Curtis and his nephew Paul Jr. Curtis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Carleane Curtis; his two daughters Charlette Curtis and Cynthia Curtis; his three sisters Carlette Henry, Jeanese Curtis and Antoinette (Scott) Harris; nieces, nephews and great nephews. The love of his life Melvina Laddell.   His gifty brother who he loved so much Will Smith.  His friends Rudy, Floyd and all his friends.

 

 

Brother.

You will truly be missed.

Our memories will always be in my heart.
