Christina “Tina” Marie Bianco

Age 62, lifelong resident of Crest Hill, IL. At rest peacefully surrounded by family and friends on January 16, 2025.

Survived by her loving husband Thomas; mother-in-law Judith Bianco; sisters Susan Kovalcik and Linda (Dave) Jerling; sister-in-law Tina (Dave) Clark and Tracy (Jack Glenn) Bianco; nephew David Clark Jr. and numerous other cherished relatives and friends. She is also survived by her loving dog Lucy.

Preceded in death be her beloved daughter Jenna; parents Edward and Florine Kovalcik; father-in-law Thomas Bianco; brother Edward Kovalcik and other dear grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Christina graduated from Lockport Township High School Class of 1980, and went on to receive her Bachelors degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana.

Christina began her library career at Crest Hill Library at 16. She continued to work her way up through various positions to achieving Library Director serving the Crest Hill, Lockport and Romeoville communities (White Oak Library District) for 27 years. Her professionalism, selfless dedication and leadership of her staff, exemplified expertise, kindness and respect for the communities she served.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 22, 2025, 12:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Memorials to the family, to be used at their discretion
