Clifford Scholp Sr.

Age 91, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at The Timbers of Shorewood.

Survived by two children Catherine R. (Gary) Cherry and Clifford (Cynthia) Scholp Jr.; grandchildren Christina (Andy) Clark, Steven Cherry, Austin and Noah Scholp; great grandchildren Simon and Elliot Clark and one brother Earl Wayne Scholp.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary A. (Lucenta) Scholp; parents Earl and Hazel (Ingalls) Scholp; siblings Frances (Robert) Donnelly, Elmer (Valerie) Scholp, Samuel (Donna) Scholp and Elizabeth (Howard) Fretty.

Born in Lockport, living in the Joliet area all his life. He retired from Caterpillar after 38 years. Clifford enjoyed bowling, woodworking and most of all working in his garden.

Visitation will be held, Monday, January 10, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel, Joliet, where interment will take place. In lieu of flowers memorials to Lightways Hospice (formerly Joliet Area Community Hospice) would be appreciated.
