David G. Jefferies

Age 65, passed away Monday June 6, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Home.

Survived by his mother Doris L. (Wirtz) Jefferies; son Austin Klein; grandchildren Seth and McKenna Klein; brothers Dan (Nan) Jefferies, Don (Angie) Jefferies and Duane (Sandy) Jefferies.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his father David C. Jefferies.

Born in Athens, Ohio and living in Joliet for over 30 years..    David graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Nuclear Engineering.   He moved into the IT field working for ComEd.   A member of the First Presbyterian Church.   David enjoyed Calligraphy and was into War Gaming on his computer, he loved reading about World History.   David was an amazing father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bo Mircea officiating.   As per David’s wishes cremation rites will follow the service.   Visitation Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.   In lieu of flowers memorials to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
