Dollie Jeffrey Nee Davis Age 98, passed away Saturday September 15, 2012 at Emeritus at Joliet. Survived by her son James (Karen) Hancock; two daughters Charlene Lamping and Karen Tapley; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; two step daughters Joan Madden and Toni Ryan; 2 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her first husband Hurley "Bud" Hancock; second husband John Jeffrey; one daughter Jacqueline Hancock; parents James and Mabel Davis. Numerous brothers and sisters. Born in Plainfield, living in Minooka most of her life until moving to Joliet. Graduated from Plainfield High School. Retired from Caterpillar. Dollie and her first husband Bud owned and operated the Cozy Corner Restaurant. She enjoyed crafts and making dolls. Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday September 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Hickok officiating. Interment Seward Mound Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 3-8 p.m. Memorials to Peace Hospice would be appreciated.
