Esther M. Martinez

Esther Martinez Nee: Thompson Age 84, passed away Tuesday July 31, 2012 at home with her family by her side. Survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Raymond "Bud" Martinez; son Bryan (Corinne) Martinez; daughter Kimberly Mathers; grandchildren Meggan (Matt) Lusson, Anthony "Tony" and Christopher Martinez, Kyle Mathers; one sister Jessie Parini. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Jessie (Canaday) Thompson; one brother Harry Thompson and one sister Betty Pulaski. Born in Joliet, living in New Lenox. Esther loved to spend time in her yard gardening. Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday 3-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to Vitas Hospice would be appreciated.
