Age 100, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County.

Survived by her children Delores Hernandez, David (Debbie) Medina, Rachel (Jaime) Manzo, Anna Serrato Platt, and Virginia (Eugene) Luna; grandchildren Theresa, Natalia, Marcelanio Jr., Elizabeth, Jennifer, David Jr., Jaime Jr., Claudia, Alejandro, Cruz, Vina, Arturo, Richard, Valeria, Valentina, Valinda, Eugenio III, Adrian and Armando; one great grandchild Graham; brother George (Mary Jane) Hernandez and nephews Robert, Gary and George Jr.

Preceded in death by her husbands Fred Medina and Emil Asa; daughter Elvira Guzman; parents Epifanio and Felicia Hernandez; brothers Raymond, Candelaria, Salvador and Anthony; sister Catherine and Elvira.

Born in Minooka, IL, a lifetime Joliet area resident.  Eudelia worked many years for Hart, Schaffner and Marx.   She enjoyed playing BINGO and was an excellent cook, making her homemade flour tortillas.   Eudelia loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank everyone at Sunnyhill Nursing Home, especially Avenue 6 and Lightways Hospice for all the loving care given to their mother.

Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Friday June 2, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  As per Eudelia wishes cremation rites will follow.   Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorials to Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County would be appreciated.
