Francis Marion (Frank the Tank, Paco, Sodfather, World Champion) Grimes, Jr. III    September 13, 1946 - April 15, 2023Francis Marion Grimes, Jr (Frank) from Morris, IL went into an eternal rest on April 15, 2023 at the age of 76. Frank was born on September 13, 1946 in Harvey, IL.He served in the US Air Force for 4 years during Vietnam receiving the NDSM, AFCM, RVCM, AFGCM, & VSM awards. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Francis Marion Grimes II, Naomi Dawn Grimes; his mother Marie
Ustianowski Janz; former wife and mother of his children, Patty Jackson Charles and his daughter, Michelle Grimes. Frank’s spirit is carried on by his son, Daniel Aaron Grimes and his wife Holly Valade Grimes as well as his 2 grandchildren  Talia and Zoe.He is also survived by 9 siblings; Art (Sue) Grimes, Al (Cindy) Grimes, Jerry (Mary) Grimes, Chuck (Martha) Renfroe, Steve (Edie) Grimes, Lora (Ron) Miller, Evie (Ron) Newton, Don (Lorna) Grimes, Deanna (Glen) Van Swol and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.Memorial services will be held on April 30 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Blackburn Giegerich Sonntag Funeral Home,  1500 Black Road Joliet, IL. Funeral and burial service will begin at the Funeral Home on May 1 at 9:15AM for close friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: J-Town Disc Golf Club
