Fred F. Klein

Fred F. Klein Passed away Sunday June 24, 2012 at the age of 80, after a lingering illness. Survived by his children Fred (H. Patricia Motta), Cynthia Klein, Kimberly (Robert) Mau, Dan (Caren Murphy) and Wendy (Richard) Pope; grandchildren Jennifer (Ron) Smykowski, Jason Klein, Robert Mau Jr., Ricky, Bradley and Justin Pope, and Kevin Klein; great grandchildren Alyssa Harms, Alex Bunna and Cameron Younger. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann Choate, sisters in law Patricia Klein and Anne Klein, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his wife Nyra J. (Glasgow) Klein; parents Fred and Dorothy (Kreiger) Klein; siblings Raymond Klein, Beatrice (Fritz) Wolz, Robert Klein, Monica Pedersen, Wilfred Klein, Art (Mary Ellen) Klein, Karl (Stella) Klein, Harold (Joyce) Klein; brother-in-law Donald Choate and sister-in-law Marilyn (Stan) Bjekich. Fred a graduate of Joliet Township High School and retired from Stauffer Chemical after many years of service. He was also a past member of Old Timers Baseball and the Joliet Moose Lodge #300. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Visitation for Fred F. Klein, will be held, Wednesday June 27, 2012, at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
