Gavin Townsend

In loving memory of Gavin David Townsend (O'Keefe), 12-years-old, born on October 25, 2011 in Joliet, IL. Gavin's lifelong journey with the genetics disease, Hunter Syndrome was marked by his unwavering courage and resilience, facing each day with a radiant smile that could illuminate even the darkest of days. His love for watching sports and his favorite movies brought him and his family such happiness and cherished memories. Gavin often got a chuckle out of a good episode of SpongeBob and Toy Story, his infectious laughter filling the hearts of those around him. But perhaps Gavin's greatest gift was his pure innocence and genuine love he poured into every moment, his smile and big blue eyes lighting up every room he entered.

 As Gavin's earthly journey has come to an end, we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace, cradled in the loving arms of Jesus. Though we will miss his laughter, his warmth, and his presence dearly, we take comfort in knowing that he is free from pain and suffering. Gavin's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his boundless love and his bright, shining light. 
  Rest in eternal peace, dear Gavin, as you run and play freely in heaven, your spirit forever cherished and remembered. 
  Gavin is survived by his proud parents Thomas Townsend and Amanda & Chris Langhamer, three sisters Lilly, Sutton and Kaylee, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

 Visitation for Gavin will be Friday, April 26, 2024 from 4-7:30, with a Celebration of Life at 7:30 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
