George L. Muthart

Age 71, passed away suddenly, Friday March 17, 2023 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa, IL.

Survived by his children George (Rayell) Muthart Jr., Vivian Black, Shaun Muthart, Donald (Jessica) Muthart, Ashley (Brett) Burke, Alyssa (Veronica) Arreguin; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; two sisters Ginger Davison and Phyllis (Bob) Duranceau; two brothers Jim (Denise) Muthart and Edward Muthart.   Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his wife Margaret Muthart; parents Herbert and Elizabeth Muthart; two sisters Grace Muthart and Carol Groce; two brothers Herbie Muthart and Donald Muthart.

Born in Chicago, living in Joliet for over 30 years, moving to Ottawa, IL last year.  Veteran of the US Army.  Retired construction worker.   George was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan and loved fishing.

Visitation Saturday March 25, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.  A Celeration of Life will at 1 pm  As per George's wishes cremation rites will follow.  Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
