Isabel Palacios

Isabel Palacios Age 95, late of Joliet, IL, passed away Monday February 11, 2013 at his residence with his devoted family at his side. Born January 1, 1918 in Clebourne, Texas to the late Hijinio and Antoinia (Garcia) Palacios. Survived by his loving children Amelia (Stephen) Gerencir, Jesse (Christine) Palacios, Patricia (Robert) McGee, Michael (Doris) Palacios and Victoria (Randall) Neighbors; son-in-laws Patrick Bennington and Dennis Collins numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends Gwen Jones and Thomas Brendt. Preceded in death by his wives Rosalee (Gallegoes) and Mary (Hernandez) (2007) Palacios, son Roman Palacios; daughter Mary Ann Bennington; grandson Robert McGee Jr.; sister Amelia Palacios and brother John G. Palacios. Isabel a devoted Chicago Cub and Dallas Cowboy Fan, he enjoyed being with his family and passing the time with his hobbies, reading old westerns novels, making model Bi-Planes and playing his Accordians and Guitars. A special Thank You to Joliet Area Community Hospice, his nurse Geraldine and Dr. Joseph Hindo, Dr. Kamran Ayub and Dr. Sunil Narula. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Saturday February 16, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. to St. Bernard's Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
