James L. Clark, Jr

CLARK, JAMES L. JR. Age 71, of Channahon, IL., passed away on August 1, 2013 with his loving family by his side at Lexington Care Center in Orland Park, Il. James is survived by his wife Beverly (Platt) Clark, his children Bill (Tracy) Clark, Doug Clark and David Clark, grandchild; Courtney Clark (the apple of his eye), his father James L. Clark Sr., sister Jan (Clark) Lacey, nephew Michael (Merodean) LaRose, Sherri LaRose, Sandy (Randy) Rzeszutko and other family and friends. James is preceded in death by his mother Joan Clark and his in-laws Raymond and Sadie Platt. James was born in Joliet, IL. on June 27, 1942. He graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1960, he married Beverly Platt on August 11, 1962; they were married 50 years. James worked for Commonwealth Edison for over 32 years. He enjoyed amateur radio and building and flying remote control airplanes. He also enjoyed taking small airplane rides and when given the opportunity was able to fly it. He was actively involved in Awana's and greeted members of his church Grace Bible for many years. The family of James wishes to thank all the Lexington Care Center and Lexington Hospice Staff for their care and support. Funeral Services will be Wednesday August 7, 2013 at 10 am at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home 1500 Black Road Joliet, IL. Interment at Seward Mound Cemetery in Minooka, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 to 7 pm.
