Jeanie Ann Bergeson, 67, of New Lenox, IL passed away at 6:05 PM Friday, October 18, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. 

She was born on May 30, 1957 in Joliet, IL to George and Belva (Revels) Bergeson. Jeanie was an acclaimed musician and worked as a pianist, organist and violinist. Post-graduation from the Music program at North Central University, she spent two years in the Netherlands teaching music at Centrale Pinkster Bijbelschool. Jeanie also graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Computer Programming/Systems Analysis and Design. She worked with Accenture for 28 years as an IT Consultant, specializing in Human Resources, Benefit and Payroll systems.

Along with her musical talents, Jeanie enjoyed caring for her animals. She also loved to trace genealogy and preserve family heritage and stories across the Bergeson and Revels family trees. She brought a smile to everyone’s face through her many jokes shared both in person and through social media.

Jeanie is survived by her sister Donna O’Connor of Roselle, IL, and brothers Delbert (Sharon) Bergeson of Joliet, IL and Basil aka Butchie (Susan) Gwilt of Utica, IL. She also is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Maria Kolioulis of Niles, IL; Anna Mudroch of Oswego, IL; Marco Kolioulis of Chicago, IL; Kristina (Spiros) Kolioulis of Roselle, IL; Skye (Jaime) Bergeson of Manhattan, IL; Joy (Nathaniel) Herrera of Genoa, OH; and Kelli (Aaron) Grosse of Mishawaka, IN, as well as six great- nieces and nephews: Dimitri Bifsha, Judah Herrera, Iva Bergeson, Sophia Bifsha, Mackenzie Herrera, and Emilia Bergeson. 

She was preceded in death by her father George E. Bergeson and her mother Belva L. Bergeson. 

Visitation will be held, Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home located at 1500 Black Road in Joliet, IL, followed immediately by the funeral service. Long-time friend, Rev. Ray Mitchell, of Praise Center Assembly of God in Ottawa, IL, will officiate. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet, IL.
