Joseph M. Dwyer

Age 69, passed away Monday June 12, 2023 in Barron, Wisconsin.

Born and raised in Joliet, moving to Chetek, WI over 30 years ago.    He graduated from Joliet Central High School Class of 1972, where he was involved in Football, Hockey and Track.   Worked with the Laborers union until the late 1980’s.  In Wisconsin Joe was a short order cook and a part time Disc Jockey for an oldies station in Hayward, WI.   An avid fisherman, gardener and enjoyed riding his bike.

Survived by two sisters LuAnn (William) Pleshe of Seneca, IL and Mary Beth (William) Velluex of Winter, WI; brother-in-law Keith Oram and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents Donald and Corkey Dwyer; sisters Susan Oram and Jerri Kennedy; brothers Robert “Yogi” and William “Billy” Dwyer and nephew Ryan Velluex.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday July 8, 2023, 5:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.  Visitation from 2:00 p.m. until time of services.
