Joseph L. Riggs

Age 81, passed away Tuesday January 18, 2022 at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center.

Survived by his wife Barbara (Whitmer) Riggs; two sons Anthony Riggs and Daniel (Tammy) Riggs; grandchildren Logan, Sydney and Jack Riggs. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents Wesley B. and Freda (Harris) Riggs; three sisters Jean Agazzi, Laura Hicks and Nancy Allen.

Born in Aurora, IL, living in Joliet most of his life. A graduate of Joliet Township Central High School. Joseph retired from Joliet Wrought Washer after 39 years of service and Dominick’s after 16 years of service. He loved to go and watch his grandchildren’s sporting events. An Avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Private services will be held. As per Joseph’s wishes cremation rites were accorded. Memorials to the American Heart Association, 300 S, Riverside Plaza, Chicago, IL 60606 would be appreciated.
