Lucy Ann Woods

Lucy Ann Woods was born on December 3, 1949 in Teoc, MS. to Frank and Lue Emma Bryant, Sr.  She peacefully transitioned on July 3, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL with family by her side. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Woods, Sr.; father, Frank Bryant, Sr.; mother, Lue Emma (Coleman) Bryant; 3 sisters, Frankie Lee Henderson, Cellie Ann Carter and Rosie Lee Loggins; 1 granddaughter, Kennedi Woods; 2 nieces, Sandra Miller and Janice Henderson; 2 nephews, Greg Bryant and Curlie Loggins.

Lucy leaves to cherish her memory, 1 son, Horace (Nicole) Woods of Oswego, IL; 1 daughter, Shanetta Woods-Glenn of Lockport, IL; 1 bonus son, Delvas Deon (Lisa) Bryant of Joliet, IL; 4 sisters, Thelma (Albert) Miller of Joliet, IL, Alberta (Ralph) Lowe of Moreno Valley, CA, Mary Carey of Coto de Caza, CA, Rosetta (Desmond) Weathers of Long Beach, CA; 1 brother, Frank Bryant, Jr. of Chino Hills, CA; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Friday, July 15, 2022 from 4 – 7 pm – Visitation

Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 9 am – Wake; 10 am – Homegoing Celebration

Visitation and funeral to be held at Shiloh MB Church, 18101 W Oak Ave, Lockport, IL.  Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery.  Repast at Shiloh MB Church.
