Marcella M. Ostrem

Marcella M. Ostrem Nee: Koscik Age 85, passed away Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Previously residing at Willow Falls, Crest Hill for two years. Survived by her brother Thomas (Shirley A.) Koscik; sister-in-law Shirley M. Koscik; special godchildren John, Liz and Diana. Also surviving numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Phillip Ostrem; parents John and Elizabeth Koscik. Her siblings Ann Banas, Frank Koscik, Edward Koscik, Betty Banas, Robert Koscik and Dorothy DuSchene. Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Retired from Silver Cross Hospital as a Lab. Tech after 45 years of service. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. A Special Thanks to Hospice, Sarah R.N. and Sara CNA for their loving care given to Marcella. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Monday October 29, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Her nephews will have the honor of serving as her pallbearers. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday 3-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
