Margaret J. Smith Nee Vallero Age 85, passed away suddenly Friday June 1, 2012 at her home. Survived by her children Linda (Tom) Friedrich, Denise Helis and Robert (Pat) Smith; five grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Helis, Amy (James) Lowry, Sally Friedrich, Ryan (Sarah) Helis and Brian Friedrich; four great grandchildren Maximus and Macy Helis and Ethan and Emery Helis. Preceded in death by her husband Raymond Smith (Aug. 2011); parents Batista and Anna Vallero; two brothers Frank (Helen) Vallero and Valentine (Stephanie) Vallero; one sister Catherine (Charles) Garavalia. Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Our Lady of Angels Auxiliary. Retired from Our Lady of Angel Retirement Home. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Monday June 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. to Holy Cross Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Monday morning 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
