Martha L. Sehring

Martha Sarah Lintott Sehring died Sunday March 6 2011 at Beacon Hill in Lombard surrounded by her loving family. She was a 70 year resident of Joliet. She is survived by Sally (LeRoy) Weaver their son LeRoy E. (Chip) Weaver III and his daughter Victoria Anne Nancy Sehring Johnson and her children Julie (Scott) Jackson Christine (Jay) Jarvie and Babs Sehring. Also surviving is her niece Cynde Jahneke (Dale) Seegers and their children Matt and Beth. Preceded in death by her husband Henry Arnold Sehriing and her parents Harriet and Arthur Lintott.Marty was a kind loving and dedicated wife and mother. She was born and raised in Milwaukee and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Economics. She was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She was a member of Childerguild and a volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital for over 65 years. She and her late husband were founding members of St. Edward the Martyr Episcopal Church. She was active in Women of Rotary and past president of Womens Study Club.The family would like to thank the extraordinary loving caregivers at Beacon Hill Lilac Unit and Pass Ages Hospice for their unconditional genuinely warm hearted attention and caring for the last two years.Visitation will be held Wednesday March 9 2011 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with services following at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Silver Cross Foundation or Childerguild in Joliet.
