Martin J. Leggero

Martin Leggero passed away peacefully on December 22nd surrounded by his family.

Martin (Buddy) 88 years old was born in 1936 to Martin and Emily Leggero in Joliet. He was married to the love of his life, Judy Leggero. They were married for 63 years. He is survived by his three sons, David (Gloria) Leggero, Dan (Pamela) Leggero and Steven (Susan) Leggero as well as by his five grandchildren, Alyssa, Joshua, Kayla, Justin and Gianna Leggero. He is survived by his sister, Donna (Al) Zanzola, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Leggero, and his parents, Martin and Emily Leggero.

Martin graduated from Joliet Catholic High School in 1954. He was employed at Christian Brother Services for 43 years. He retired in 2004. He served in United States Marine Corp Reserves.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. He spent many summers at their lakeside home in Tomahawk, WI, where he loved fishing. He enjoyed entertaining and liked trying new foods and going out to eat with family.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date. As per Martin’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
