Pamela J. Laken Nee: Herron Age 65, passed away suddenly, Saturday September 8, 2012 at her home in Normal, IL. Survived by her husband Donald Laken; two daughters Melissa (Scott) Brown Bertuca and Michelle (Brian) Brown Fagan; 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; one sister Kathy (Bill) Meyering. Preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Jean Herron. Born in Streator, IL, raised in Park Forest, IL, living in Normal, IL. Graduated from the University of Illinois. Retired as Director of Medical Records from Pekin (IL) Hospital and as Health Insurance Claims staff from State Farm Insurance, Bloomington, IL. Pamela enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading books and watching movies. She was an avid Illini Fan, who enjoyed tailgating and attending the football games. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Thursday September 13, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago St., Joliet, IL. 60432 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
