Patricia A. Schultz (nee Wieczorek), age 76, passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice of Joliet on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Born in LaSalle, Illinois on April 1, 1947, to Anthony and Darlene (nee Toll) Wieczorek. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Michael and Paul, and beloved husband Robert Schultz. Survived by her children, Jennifer (Justin Leinenweber) Schultz of Chicago, Tracy (Adam Schenkenberg) Schultz of St. Paul, Minnesota, Elizabeth Schultz of Joliet, and Michael (Sarah) Schultz of Manhattan; sister Paula (Rick) Adamski of Wilmington; seven cherished grandchildren Griffin, Skylar, Nolan, and Carson Schultz, Harry and Ralph Leinenweber, and Emmett Schenkenberg; brother in law James (Linda) Schultz of Joliet; sisters in law Donna (William) Rice of Westchester, Judith (John) Madden of Prospect, Kentucky, Mary (Carlos) Bastidas of Chicago, Carol (Daniel) Lundin of New London, North Carolina, Laura (Jerry Breef) Schultz of Joliet, and Bonnie Wieczorek of Coal City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia “Pat” grew up in Coal City, moving to Joliet as an adult. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, volunteering, bowling, reading, completing daily crossword puzzles, and caring for her many dogs over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice of Joliet in Pat's name would be appreciated. The Schultz family would like to thank the staff at Lightways Hospice and all of Pat’s caretakers for their help and compassion during her illness and final days. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. to the Cathedral of St. Raymond for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on March 2, 2024 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
