Age 90, passed away Monday December 20, 2021 at River Crossing Care Center.
Survived by his four children Karen (John) Pena, Fern Hensley, Ralph McDonald and Ron McDonald; grandchildren Sarah (Jesse) Davis, Melissa Lopez and Jake Pena; great grandchildren Alexis (Cole) Rodriguez, Jasmine and Jayden Reyes. One sister Shirley Hintzsche. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife Fern (Moore) McDonald; parents Angus and Clara McDonald; two sisters Louise Snook and Marion Stafford.
Born in Joliet, living most of his living in Joliet until moving to the Timbers in Shorewood.
Ralph was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral Services will be held, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to Lightways Hospice (formerly known as Joliet Area Community Hospice) would be appreciated.
