Raymond C. Summers

Raymond C. Summers Ray Age 76, May 3, 1937 - December 29, 2012 Ray passed away Saturday after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Mike) and a large number of friends who are his extended family. He will be sadly missed by all of us. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Catherine, his dear friends Kenny Floyd, Ed Sullivan "Sully", Bob Cartwright and several older siblings. Ray was born and raised in Joliet. Even though he eventually moved to Braidwood/Wilmington area, Joliet has always remained his home of choice. Ray was active member of Carpenters Local 174 for many years and a long time employee of Atlas Drywall Company. He was an avid bowler, great pool shooter and loved table games. He was a giving person who cared deeply for those who had not been as fortunate as he. Please join us, in celebrating Ray's life on Friday January 4, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. with a service at 4:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
