Richard Thomas Mansell Jr.

Age 62, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Hinsdale Hospital.

Survived by his wife Laura (Stoddard) Mansell; mother Rosealie Mansell; two brothers Kenneth Scott (Kathy) and Michael J. (Michelle) Mansell; Nieces and nephews Bobby(Samantha) Mansell Jr., Angela Workman, Rachel Mansell, and Max(Rinda) Mansell; In-laws Dan and Nancy Stoddard; brother-in-law Ryan (Jen) Stoddard.  Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his father Richard Thomas Mansell Sr.; brother Robert Mansell Sr.; sister Pamela Mansell; uncle John Bilek Jr and aunt Annabelle Bilek and niece Hannah Mansell.

Born in Hinsdale, IL living in Romeoville, IL. Graduated from Lincoln Way Central High School and Joliet Junior College.   Richard was employed by Cornerstone Services.  An avid Chicago Sports Fan, especially the Chicago Bears.   He was a devoted Uncle and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Richard also loved coaching for the Special Olympics and listening to his favorite band, Rush.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:00 p.m.  until time of funeral services at 3:30 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers memorials to Special Olympics would be appreciated.
