Rosalie Vickery

Rosalie [Lee] Vickery Bova Age 62 late of Joliet IL passed away suddenly Sunday April 10 2011. Lee was born on August 19 1948 to Vincent and Jacqueline Bova (both deceased) of Steger IL. She married Harold [Hal] Vickery in June of 1975 celebrating 35 years of marri Age.She is survived by her husband Hal Vickery son Jeffrey Vickery and daughter-in-law Stephanie Vickery all of Joliet IL. Also surviving are her younger sister Ida Bova-Novick of Steger IL younger brother James Bova of Crown Point IN., two nieces and one nephew.Lee attended Bloom High School in Chicago Heights IL. She received her Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and Theology from Tolentine Colllege in Olympia Fields IL and her Masters Degree in Education form Purdue University Calumet in Hammond IN. She taught at Central Junior High School in Steger IL. She served as the childrens librarian at the Chicago Heights Public Library and was a lifelong avid reader. As a stay-at-home mother she cared very much for her family.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday April 14 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church 18 Woodlawn Ave., Joliet IL. She will be interred privately at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Glenwood IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Joliet Township Animal Control 2807 McDonough St., Joliet IL 60436 (815-725-0333).
