Rose Marie Sochan

Rose Marie Sochan Mozden Age 93 of Joliet peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday September 29 2011 with family by her side.She was preceded in death by her infant daughter parents Stanley and Frances (Glogowska) Mozden her brother Walter Mozden two sisters Julie Petrone and Barbara Betty] Urbancic.Survived by her loving husband Raymond Sochan of almost 65 years of wonderful marri Age her children Raymond (Rosemary) Sochan Rose (Larry Piet) Sochan and Rita (Ed) Cabay five grandchildren Diane (Brian Bostwick) Santorineos Debbie Santorineos Christine Cabay Lisa Cabay and Stacy Sochan. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Skippy.Rose was actively involved in the family businesses of Rays Food Mart and Sochan Music Center.Rose was a member of St. Marys Assumption in Joliet as well as the Cathedral of St. Raymond. She loved to bake potica and rushkies for family and friends. She also enjoyed getting dressed up to go out dancing. She was a friend to all including the birds and squirrels she fed daily. Rose was a loving and devoted wife mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.A Celebration of Roses life will begin Sunday October 2 2011 with prayers and visitation at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home Monday October 3 2011 at 9:30 a.m. to the Cathedral of St. Raymond for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
