Age 70,  passed away April 16, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital.

Survived by his son Gregory (Jaclene) Warning and granddaughter Stevie Claire Warning; daughter Andrea Warning; one brother Michael (Jeanne) Warning; niece Jessica Warning; Nephew John Hackett and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents Edward C. and Gloria (Connor) Warning; brother James Warning; sister Peggy Hackett; aunt and uncle Edward and Claire Simonic.

Born in Joliet a lifelong resident.  Wayne graduated from Joliet Central Class of 1970 and Southern Illinois University.   U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Cantigny Post #367 V.F.W.   He retired from Marshall Fields, working at the Joliet and Fox Valley stores.  Wayne enjoyed grilling, gardening and talking about the weather.   He loved music.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.   Interment with Military Honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.   Visitation Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m., until time of services.   In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
